Hovering what?

Configuration | Information | File Info Tips | Show file info tips has a tooltip and it says: "Show a tooltip when hovering a filename in the file list." Today I noted that it's actually hovering the whole Name column width, not only the filename proper, that triggers the File Info Tip / Hover Box. I never noted this because I always tick "Show info tips only when hovering file icon".

Hmm, I think this should be changed to what the tooltip says: Only hovering the filename proper should pop a tip / box. What do you think?

I agree, for another reason: it seems to me that info tips create a race condition or interference with "Open on single click on icon".

I agree also. It would probably minimize some unintended popups of the hover box as well.
