Vertical Display issues

Post by Stretto »

I use a vertical display for various reasons that are applicable to what I do. Using XYplorer on a vertical display is problemmatic because the layout for some things are not accessible without a lot of juggling.

For example, to search. The search buttons are to the right of the screen, off screen because there is not enough room.

It would be better if XYplorer used "flow" so that the out of view elements would wrap around(I have plenty of vertical space.

In fact, all I care about is the search button so I can search(I can see the text box but not the search button so I have to expand the window, move half of XYplorer off screen etc).

But this problem exists for many of the elements.

It shouldn't be hard for XYplorer to detect size and make some adjustments, at the very least, to allow the UI to be functional in these contexts.

In the meantime if all you care about is the search button, you can just input your search settings and then press Enter to begin the search, or press Alt+i. or Ctrl+Alt+F, or this menu item: Edit | Find Now

Hi’
If you have the tree and/or catalog visible, have you tried to enlarge the info panel (which holds the search) to the full width of XYplorer?
Window > Arrangement > Wide Info Panel
