Windows 10 -on demand

Post by Crw »

We recently updated to w10 and use onedrive with the “on demand” functionality.

Now my folders/files look like the 1st screenshot
The 2nd screenshot is how it looks in the default explorer

Similar to this problem: viewtopic.php?t=17848 but not completely.

Can you make sure I can see my files the normal way instead of shortcuts?
Could we view that “status” column too in xy, like in the default?

To show OneDrive status column:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=19438&p=162505#p162505

Not sure what the other problem you tried describing is? Screenshots are too small to make out the issue, but when you enable the status column you will more easily see that shortcuts are files not taking space, and normal files are downloaded.

Thank you for the fast reply!

I've added a new screenshot here, it's mainly the icons that have me bugged. Less so the extra column.

Ah I see.. It looks like you are using Onedrive for Business? and as you've shown it looks like overlay shortcut icons still show for folders in OneDrive for Business, I didn't know that, I don't have it, they don't for normal OneDrive, as a temp fix you should be able disable them here:

Configuration | General | Refresh, Icons, History | Icons | Show shortcut overlays

Maybe the dev can make them not show in business OneDrive like he has in consumer version, I'll move this to bug reports.

That checkbox doesn't change anything on or off the icons stay the same.
It's onedrive for bussiness indeed, didn't know there was a difference or I would have mentioned it.

Ooops I meant this:

Configuration | General | Refresh, Icons, History | Icons | Show icon overlays

Still no difference?
