You read my mind. I didn't even have time to let you know that I had grown accustomed to dbl click closes tab when you took it away and now you've brought it back (with option to lock tab for those who prefer)
Hooray and thanks for freedom of choice!

I'll also add Open New Tab and Rename Tab to the choices...panorama wrote:Hooray and thanks for freedom of choice!

Re: Double click closes tab
Where shall we dbl-click to open new tab? With Opera, Firefox and Maxthon you click in the empty part of the tab bar. This means (w/ my settings) you can open about 6 tabs before all space is occupied and there's nowhere left to dbl-click. With XY, there is no empty space cuz tabs resize to occupy all space. I would love to be able to dbl click the tab to close it and dbl click elsewhere to open a new one. But if tabs stay small like in web browsers, there's no room for path (and no possibility of clicking breadcrumbsadmin wrote:I'll also add Open New Tab

Open New Tab in XY = Clone the clicked tab.panorama wrote:Where shall we dbl-click to open new tab? With Opera, Firefox and Maxthon you click in the empty part of the tab bar. Hmmm?

All the other gimmicks (empty space, close buttons, tab row scrolling) might* come later... first things first.

No, no please don't - I wouldn't know what to do with "everything possible". I agree with you entirely about zenitude (zenness?). I was just wondering how you saw the nuts and bolts of the "dbl-click opens new tab" feature which YOU mentionedadmin wrote:* It's not my goal to do everything possible. .... Re: Double click closes tab
Seems to me that I mentioned this choice idea in the other related thread...and it appeared to have been rejected there but guess it wasn't so bad after all.panorama wrote:I had grown accustomed to dbl click closes tab when you took it away and now you've brought it back (with option to lock tab for those who prefer)
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

dbl-click and then choose? that's slower than right-click and choose.jjk wrote:Have choice in Tabs Configuration is nice. But it seems to me a litte too fixed. I'd prefer choice when dbl-cliking.
Even, one could have one more option in Tabs-Configuration like "Choice on dbl-clicking".
