Hello.
I'm already have been using XYplorer for about a year and my tag.dat file is already 100MB
At the time of saving the file, it can exceed this size, but when I open XYPlorer only load the tags until reach around 100MB of the file in caché and when I close the program, the file is truncated before reach 100MB. I've had this problem for some time, but barely now I can understand why.
I can't use different projects o instances, because all tagged files are part of the same project.
Is there a way to fix this?
Greetings.
100MB limit in tag.dat?

Someone else had a similar query to this, and you can see the developers reply here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=18340&p=155325#p155368
IMO your best course of action would be to use the scripting command tagexport() to export some of the tags, and create a couple separate DBs, I know you say they are all for 1 project but maybe you don't need them all available at the same time.

Re: 100MB limit in tag.dat?
Oh, thanks. There's no solution then...
I'm downloading all the tags from a site and I use them for differents purpuses like generating random collages with specific themes or tags. If I tag manually or I select the specific tags I want to save, it will be too much time consumed in this.
If I create differents BDs, I need to read every database when I make searchs... I could analyze it to see if it's convenient.
Well, I think I began to search/think for new options to make this.
Have a nice day.
