Favorite Files on Network does not work correctly

I have several Favorite Files defined, however when I click on the Favorite Files of the files that are on a network share (UNC) they do not open to the folder. (when "Open Favorite Files directly" is NOT checked).

This does work:
If I click on a defined Favorite File that is on a drive letter, such as C:, it opens the folder fine.
ie.
c:\test\filename.xls
opens tab at c:\test

This does not work:
\\server\share\folder\filename.xls
it does not open to \\server\share\folder
In the opened tab it says the directory name is invalid. It looks like its trying to include filename.xls in the directory name.


If "Open Favorite Files directly" is checked.. then it does open the network UNC file fine.
