I know it can be done with a refined search term, but a easier way will be, well, easier.

Hide Folders in Branch View
I wish there was an easy way to hide folders from a flat view. A right click menu like in MiniTree (Hide this Folder) perhaps. Or a plus-minus button in the list.
I know it can be done with a refined search term, but a easier way will be, well, easier.
And very user-friendly.

I can see why it would be useful for a tree but can't really see it for a list since don't those folders help you locate exactly where those files are? But a plus-minus button on the list I can definitely see. That would be sweet!

Right. Often the flat view is overloaded with huge folders where I know the items I'm looking for doesn't exist. Minimizing these folders can make the list more "at-a-glance-able".

I would be content with a simplier solution. A new keyboard shortcut to cycle through the folders on the same level in the tree. I could jump through a folder if it contained too many files.

.
(Almost) exactly what I came here to request. Branch View is great especially for folders with only a few items. But for bigger sets a "collapse this folder" function would be REALLY useful. I often have subfolders of many incidental files I don't want to see and scroll through while I rearrange the folders I am working in. If a few of those incidental subfolders have 50 or 100 files, it just gets too hard.

+1 for collapsible folders within BV.
While using BV to find and trim/edit recently added TV episode titles; having to scroll through completed series is onerous. If implemented, the tab should remember the collapsed status across sessions.
BTW: Is there any difference between BV & FV in XY or just semantics?

Re: Hide Folders in Branch View
Has there been any new function implemented toward that request (hide/collapse folders in branch view)?
@Don: If not, would you consider this feature request? Is it already on your todo list?
