Search & Replace rename doesn't use MRU entry

Why doesn't search and replace rename box -- when triggered from List's context menu -- show most recently used renaming pattern?

I have a renaming pattern that I use often -- sure, I can create a toolbar button or a UDC -- so I am curious as to the reason for this behaviour.

I may be misunderstanding, but I have a MRU in that dialog, here is an example screenshot, is that the way of accessing S&R you mean?
