[solved] files not showing when name begins with .

Hello, by mistake, I renamed some files with a name beginning with a point like .mickey.jpg
The files disappeared from the listing in XYplorer. Hopefully, I could see them in XnViewMP and Windows Explorer and could change their name to see them again.

With such a file (leading dot) exists, what does the tooltip say, when you hover over the left part of the status bar (which should state something like <x> item of <y> and has a blue filter symbol on the left side)?

I'd say it's an active (global) visual / ghost filter...

You are right, it’s hidden by Hide protected Operation System Files in Settings > Tree and List AND Ghostfilters with .* rule.
