I downloaded Beta 18.80.0005 and tried the drag status box. Perhaps I don't understand how it works, but as I see it, it simply adds "stuff" to the typical drag pointer while providing no meaningful information.
I suspect the lack of info may be because the resultant box is too small so that no info can be displayed.
Does the (+) indicate that the box is too small to display whatever should be there? If so, how do I resize it to make it readable?
Also, since I only allow right-click drags, will I never see the mentioned color coding?
If I have the concept all wrong, please help me understand.
Bill

Actually going from your screenshot and the fact you have left click drag disabled, you haven't tried it yet.n2tpa wrote:I downloaded Beta 18.80.0005 and tried the drag status box.
It only displays on left click dragging, and looks like this:n2tpa wrote:Also, since I only allow right-click drags, will I never see the mentioned color coding?

Re: Drag Status box resize?
Jupe,
Thanks for the response. I feel kind of left out, but need the added control that right-click only drag offers (too easy to "lose" a file by mistakenly dragging and let go at the wrong time, effectively dropping it into an unknown location).
If Developer is listening, I would like to see the files being dragged regardless of which button is clicked. Obviously the color coding wouldn't work, but why not state the info that does apply to both buttons?

PS: Played with and actually it's not bad! I'll add it for right button drags as well.

Hey Don that's cool. That's what I was originally hoping for when I noted it didn't work on right drag yesterday, but I'm still glad you separated the tree and list for the Disallowing left dragging safety belt.admin wrote:PS: Played with and actually it's not bad!
