Dragging files between panes disabled ?
I use to be able to drag files to move them from one pane to another on a dual pane; I'm no longer able too, what setting could cause this ?

Configuration | Menus, Mouse, Safety | Safety Belts | Disallow left-dragging from tree and list

I assume no one has been experiencing this problem, first when re-loading XY, dragging files between panes works, after a minute or two it stops working ?

What happens? nothing? or do you get the cursor with a circle with a line through it?, are you dragging to locations that accept files? does it work on the same folder and then stop working on the same folder? as a long shot try dragging with the right mouse button instead.
Try this setting:
Configuration | Other | Shell Integration | Drag and Drop | Use standard shell drag and drop

Nothing happens. I'm dragging files between folders that accept files, as in; they are not system folders. I can only left-mouse hold and drag if it's an image file for example to preview the image, anything related to right-click as in this situation; dragging a file from one window pane (folder) to another pane (folder) does absolutely nothing. I've toggled with the settings you mentioned numerous times and I made no progress.jupe wrote:What happens? nothing? or do you get the cursor with a circle with a line through it?, are you dragging to locations that accept files? does it work on the same folder and then stop working on the same folder? as a long shot try dragging with the right mouse button instead.

While writing this up, I restarted XY upon restart I could drag a file between panes (folders) but when changing the folder, for example the target folder for which I wanted to drag the file too, then dragging and dropping no longer worked ?

Try enabling or disabling this:
Configuration | File Operations | File Operations | Custom Copy Operations | Use Custom Copy
and /or this
Configuration | File Operations | File Operations | Background Processing | Enable background processing
I assume you have seen if the behavior you describe is the same in a fresh; instance?

I've tried those options with no success.jupe wrote:Try enabling or disabling this:
