I am not sure if I am understanding what you want to do exactly but you could just switch to details view via

View | Views | Details

or by the toolbar button etc.

Thanks for the tip. I like XYPlorer but it has more options than the new car I just bought with level 3 electronic safety features. The car really keeps you safe, because there are so many automatic features you have to stop the car, look it up in the 8 separate manuals that are not cross indexed.

Example: suddenly a small orange icon appeared on the dash screen.

Stopped, parked the car went thru all manuals, tried calling dealer, another dealer, the car manufacturer. Unfortunately they were all experiencing high call volumes and told me to call back later. Then I contacted the the car's forum, 5 hr later I had an answer: orange icon indicated it was cold enough out side for the roads to ICE. Of course common sense told me it was icy cold outside as I froze my *** off & almost slipped on the ice as I walked to the car.

Today's Motto: It's better to have add more options & look cool, than remove little used options & look un cool.

I use the free ver, does the paid ver give you a nice printed manual you can study? Is it worth $40?

No printed manual that I am aware of, but pressing F1 will bring up the help file which I consider to be an excellent resource, also there is a pdf version available that you could print yourself, link is:

Is it worth $40?

I think it is a bargain at 10 times that price.
