Import Tags from external app

Hi
I have a video manager app that allows me to set tags within the app which i can export to a csv file along with the complete path to the file so is there a way to import this csv and populate the tags.dat file? The files are spread across several folders on the c drive.

i tried to edit the tags.dat file manually but it doesnt work, seems tags need to be set within the xyplorer app.

Sure it is, post such a .cvs file (zipped!)...

Additionally, find your tag.dat file (Menu - Go - Go to Application Data Folder)
and if it isn't a large one, zip it as well and post it (or send me a pm with a download link).

Why? Each entry from the cvs would need to be processed one by one and tagitems isn't
very fast when doing it that way. The better option: Add the complete stuff to the tag.dat
file and reload the tag database afterwards...

i didnt realize it was as simple as reloading the tags database...so i was able to edit the tag.dat file manually( will write a ps script to automate this later) but i am glad to know there is a way to do this outside of the xyplorer app.

As long as you brought all entries of the tag.dat file into the correct sort order...
And don't forget that entries are case-sensitive!
