How do I specify a Settings save path?

By default all the Settings are stored in the C:\Users\USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\XYplorer directory, how do I specify to other directories? such as D:\My Documents\XYplorer.

and how do i safely restore Settings when i reinstall XYplorer ?

Exit XYplorer

Move your
C:\Users\USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\XYplorer
to
D:\My Documents\XYplorer

Make sure that it will not be a subfolder like
D:\My Documents\XYplorer\XYplorer


In your XYplorer installation folder there is a file:
Startup.ini

Open it, use a different path for "Path="
like:
[Appdata]
Path=D:\My Documents\XYplorer

Save it

Start XYplorer again

To restore your whole setup, backup that
D:\My Documents\XYplorer folder and restore it when necessary
