Copying from Kodi

Post by roy.lambert »

I've added a Raspberry Pi and Kodi (using LibreElec) to my network. I've enabled Samba but password protected. I can log in but to copy a directory from a USB drive attached to the Pi have to use Windows Explorer not XYPlorer. I've had a look at the File Operations options but can't see anything that strikes me as relevant. Any suggestions

Because of? Don't see any error description in your post...

I can copy folders just fine from my ODROID-XU4 with password protected samba shares just fine from inside XY

There's no error - just nothing happens - literally nothing

With or without XY's custom copy?
Any external copy handlers defined?
Does it happen with a fresh XY instance as well?
Does the behavior change when you use a drive letter to mount that share?
How is the copy invoked, Ctrl + c, Ctrl + v, drag and drop?
Which XY version?

Reboot the PC, login into that share ONLY via XYplorer
Now copy something via Windows Explorer (and not XY)
Does that work?

Sorry for the delay in responding

>With or without XY's custom copy?

With custom copy - haven't tried without yet - I'll have a go and let you know

>Any external copy handlers defined?

Nope

>Does it happen with a fresh XY instance as well?

If I understand you correctly its always fresh.

>Does the behavior change when you use a drive letter to mount that share?

Not tried. I'll have a go, but if I have to do that I'll probably just use Windows Explorer for this particular thing.

18.00

I'll let you know

Do you ever get the impression computers just do things to wind you up? Things are now working as they should.
