working with the dates

Post by Redbriars »

Hello all

I use the Backup feature of XYplorer but I have problems with the criteria different size or date. I use it mostly to backup image files, and I have found that my image software resets the accessed date when I view the images, even though I have made no changes.

The Backup function seems to use the Accessed date to determine that the files have changed, resulting in many overwrites on unchanged files. Is there some way to have XYplorer ignore that accessed date when doing a backup run? The modified date would be more appropriate.

Thanks . . . Alan

You really mean Accessed??

Accessed neither implies Created or Changed. Only Accessed, i.e. opened for read.

Backup mode "different size or date" only cares for the Modified date, not for Accessed. :?
