Hello
My Malwarebytes program today found in C:\Program Files (x86)\XYplorer\ XYcopy.exe
Malwarebytes is installed as a anti-virus and to block ransomware. I have had it for several months. It is up to date.
I had it remove the xycopy and restart the pc.
I had XYplorer version 17.70.0100
I updated to version 17.90.0100 afterward.
In a search on xycopy at google I see some other postings on anti-virus programs doing this. One had Norton remove it.

Anyone else come across this?

Re: ransomware detected in XYplorer
Do yourself a favor and exclude XYplorer.exe and XYCopy.exe from your AV scanning. In the over 10 years I've been using XY there has not been a single positive virus alert from its executables.

Re: ransomware detected in XYplorer
XY is ransomware. Once you try it, you have to buy it.

Re: ransomware detected in XYplorer
I added xyplorer.exe and xcopy.exe to Malwarebytes Settings> Exclusions. So far no more detecting them as ransomware.
Thanks
