XYplorere freezes after refreshing

Post by Ben »

Hi,

i recently started to use the trial version of xyplorer.
I love it, it has so many features i always wanted to have.

But there a cases, when xyplorer freezes when i select "refresh".
I have several network drives which are mapped to some server folders.
But even waiting 10 minutes does not help.

I use "refresh" quite often, since some folders don't automatically update after file-copy operations.
See the attaachements for my settings,

Regards,
Ben

Is an unavailable network currently listed in any of the two panes?

Refresh (F5) by default refreshes Tree and List. I think your problem is the refreshing of the Tree. And a very slow network (never heard of the extreme delays you are reporting), and/or unavailable network drives.

Here are several possible solutions:

1) Tick this to make manual Refreshing unnecessary:
Configuration | Refresh, Icons, History | Auto-Refresh | Include network locations

2) Remap the F5 key to Refresh only the list (View | Refresh List).

3) Use View | Refresh Current Folder (Shift+F4) instead of F5.

4) Use the Mini Tree to reduce the work when refreshing the Tree.
