Trigger Click works only once per file. I seem to remember that a multi-click trigger has been wished (but not implemented).

Twice now:
http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic. ... 98#p105998
http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic. ... 38#p111438
Then you fixed the workaround.

Code: Select all

v13.90.0107 - 2014-04-12 11:37
    * Custom Columns: When Custom Columns of type Script are triggered by Click
and the script has no "return" command then the click symbol remains in
the list and can be clicked again and again.
And the list is not repainted after such a "no return" click so you can
      make coffee this way.

Am I missing something or does this not work in v17.70.0203...

Code: Select all

actually it does work here, with the mentioned version
Win 8.1 x64

only a double click also opens the item (I have full row select on)

Using that snippet in fresh v17.70.0203 - the icons disappear after clicking on them.

Another fun one: changing the column's format to Icon causes the green execution icon to disappear, but leaves the click target that triggers the script.
This can cause all sorts of fun:

Code: Select all

Okay... It works but only if XY has a reason to redraw the list.

From fresh in a folder that sees very little activity with a locked mini tree XY is okay leaving them "gone" for tens of minutes - especially if XY is not the active window.

Even when XY is active I can click on many of the default toolbar buttons and open the Configuration without triggering a redraw that will bring them back.

So I guess it works as described, but my expectation from the description was that the icon would never go away or at least would return immediately after the script finished and that is certainly not the case.

EDIT: XY has now gone over 70 minutes without restoring the icons - even after unlocking and disabling mini tree. Sure most of that time was spent inactive but I've clicked over a few times just to poke it a little.

They never go away here.

Is this a complete misunderstanding?

Update: a dbl-click on the green icon is not opening the item, it is treated by XY like a dlb-click on "empty space". Should it be that way?
and it also executes the no-return-script twice (which might be expected)
