Preview Pane Set width & relationship to active Pane.

Post by brianhuahin »

The Preview Pane when it is active, the other panes could split as 75:25 in favor of the active Pane or 50:50 . Currently its visually strange.

Is there a command to set the Pane with ratio, active v no active or a set ratio with options?

If these are currently features that are not available can they be considered?

Regards

Currently its visually strange? Not sure what you mean.

Currently the list pane makes space for the preview pane. You mean the tree pane should share some space as well?

I admit I was not as clear as I could have been. Lets try again.

If the left pane has the selected item that is being displayed in the preview the inactive pane, the right one, slides over the active pane and obscures the displayed item details.
If the active pane did the sliding in this case to the right over the inactive pane we would be able to see the details of the file now being displayed.

OK, easier said than done. :) Not on my list for the near future.

Tip: It might work better for you if you choose horizontal Dual Panes.

Hi
OK I can live with that.

Any progress on the preview pane reading Outlook .msg files.

It came today:

Code: Select all

v17.50.0206 - 2017-02-07 12:26
+ Preview: Experimentally added a tweak to define a custom preview handler
for MSG files. The preview handler is identified by its GUID (i.e., you
really have to know what you do).
      Example:
        CustomPreviewHandlerMSG={53BEDF0B-4E5B-4183-8DC9-B844344FA104}
Note that XYplorer wants 32-bit preview handlers.

I appreciate your phenomenally rapid solution.

The limitations is that I have no idea how to implement it.
Not wishing to impose further demands on your valuable time.
Is there any one out there in the forum who can translate this into a step by step process. To include how and where to get this 32 bit handler that is specified.

There may be a generic process but I am not aware of it.

Brian
