Mouse down blowup for OpenEXR files?

Hey,

I totally love the mouse-down blowup feature, but would need it for OpenEXR .exr files as well as all the other image formats.
I have the latest version of the FastPictureViewer Codec pack installed and thumbnails work just fine, but not the blowup.
Now I tried today to add exr to the list of preview formats, but that gives me binary text instead of the image.
Can I add this format myself somehow or is this a feature that needs Donalds intervention?

I found out how it works now. I didn't get that the list on top defines what I see in the list below - somehow it's visually unclear/unusual IMO.
So I when I selected images in the top list and then added EXR in the lower one, it worked.

thanks for the welcome :-)
I use XYplorer for years but normally it's so well done that I hardly need any help...

I wrote in another thread where somebody had the same problem but with pdf files:

I now see that the text above the list indicates what category the below extensions belong to, but somehow it's unusual on Windows to have two such list controls be related to each other, so it's not immediately obvious I have to select the category in the upper list. I actually thought about how to tell XY what kind of file it is, but didn't grok the logic.
Maybe instead of just "Category" have something like "Select the file category in this list, then add the extension below" - there is Space enough ;-)

Now that I know it it's obvious, but I don't think I ever saw such a construct in a windows application, so I just didn't occur to me how it works right away.

Another option could be, when you "add" an extension to show the user first a list of categories to select from and then a field to enter the extension, then it would be very clear IMO. I actually expected that to happen. So the "add" would not be context dependent.

Yes, one could do that, thanks. But no priority for now. I got other ideas to improve the program on my list...
