Search Location Problem

Post by td2000 »

I have reinstalled XYPlorer. I keep business files in a a folder B20-BusinessResources. In the past I have simply put the cursor on this folder and using the search function I have been able to find my subject matter e.g. "strategy" "mid-term review" etc.
Now, I get a message which says "search location currently not available" and an symbol for a question mark appears. When I click on this symbol - the folder opens and I can then search for the subject matter no problem.
The odd thing is that once I do this I can then search in other folders without any difficulty.

Any help?

Thanks
Tom

XY version?

Click "Reset Filters" button in the search window
Only check "Selected locations" in "Name & Location"
Try again, same result?

If yes, show a screenshot of the search window ("Name & Location") tab
and the full path for the "B20-BusinessResources" folder

Thanks for the quick reply - much appreciated. But what you suggested did not work. Here are two screen captures.

That's clearly a bug (look at the last line of your screenshot, it glues the "Documents\<your folder>" to the end of the real path.
I'll move this posting to bug reports.

It has been fixed in v17.30.0109 - 2016-11-11 15:27.

I will soon upload a new official release with this fix. Probably today.
