Call me an idiot perhaps; maybe there are myriads of ways to do it without using XY,,,,but I've fought my computer for *years* when it comes to saving search results. All I've ever wanted is the LIST...the name and the path...where .mc2's reside on my computer, what they are named. (These are special 'books' for my recipe software and I have about 5,550 of them...and more added/renamed/moved/deleted/revised weekly. I have them nicely within folders inside their software, and I also have them splattered ALL OVER in my 80 gigs here on Big Computer...and some on drives...and some on laptop and some are duplicates...and oh it's complicated...probably due to my bad, but unchangeable (for many reasons) ways.)
I am a slob...backed up...no, blocked up...with my messes for at least 11 computer years. I work on two computers (laptop when we travel) so I really can make huge messes...and there is no slowing me down...and no fixing my ways. I will never change. SO, to get to what I'm trying to say is:
You have a File/To Clipboard feature. I'm not sure what others use it for...or if it is just for this purpose...or is also FOR this purpose...or WHAT all you folks do with it....for FOR ME, IT IS A PURE HEAVEN FEATURE that I've found NOWHERE ELSE...and I am SOOOOOOOO ripppppppped!!!
I mean, I am so happy I could just grab you and KISSSSSS you!!!!!
I do a search for *.mc2 of my entire computer (or any search I feel like doing) and all the results sit nicely in their own Search tab....and then I do a File/To Clipboard and Look at all those beautiful choices!!!! I can save a monstrous (or tiny, if I choose) list of ALL my special .mc2 files.... OR I can save them with name/path or name size path...or path/size/name...or long path/long name or short path/name OR whatever almost I want or need....and paste to a text file...and the blessed thing even marks down what the search criteria was for that particular search! All I have to do then is Save and Name my Search Results file, (I use NoteTab for that)... and I have a complete list ANY TIME I WANT ONE...of all my precious .mc2's. I can SEE where they are on my 'puter...and see what their names are...see if I've already got one by that name installed within my software (a no-no for my software...makes it go belly up) and all kinds of other things that I have a big NEED TO KNOW WHERE AND WHAT I'VE DONE with these files...where I've store em...what someone or I named em...etc. <long story>
If you don't care to follow all my mad typing above, here is my summary: Don, you have made XY do *well* one particular task that I have needed weekly and never found a way to nicely do before. It's driven me NUTTY in the past. THANK YOU SO MUCH for your Search Results and File/To Clipboard feature. (I never wanted to save contents...just a bloody LIST and now I can, thanks to you (and your many club members I bet, too.)

I'm off to bed but will check around and eventually we will find you that recipe. Sounds kinda like one they sell at Trader Joe's in USA. (Frozen) Paper thin crust (reminds me almost of crackers)...no tomato sauce...white cheeses and thin stips of ham, onions I think. Oh, to die for. Hope you have a fun party.
