A little bug found...?
If I have the Minimize on X close enabled.
When closing XY with the X button it minimizes to tray.
Exits the application with Exit (on systray menu)
When I restart XYplorer I want to have it in the last window state before I minimized it to the tray. Now it restarts minimized.

XYplorer does not care about what you want!ugus wrote:When I restart XYplorer I want to have it in the last window state before I minimized it to the tray. Now it restarts minimized.

But it does not start in tray (which it was before exiting) it starts minimized in taskbar. Is this following the rulesadmin wrote:XYplorer does not care about what you want!ugus wrote:When I restart XYplorer I want to have it in the last window state before I minimized it to the tray. Re: Minimize on X close
I'd also expect an appl that was last open just in tray to either restart as such -or- restart maximized, as I've seen others do...I'd be more inclined to have it be in tray...but to restart in taskbar, that's not what I'd expect, so I'll agree with ugus on this for now (as I haven't yet tried it myself)ugus wrote:But it does not start in tray (which it was before exiting) it starts minimized in taskbar. Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

The downside with starting in the tray (even if it was closed from there) is that someone may not notice that XY has actually started.
And how about this for an argument for not starting up in the tray? If I am starting up XY, it is because I want to use it then and there, not "oh I'll fire it up and not use it for a few minutes". If that were the case I could just fire it up in a few minutes

I'm with you 100%! But I vaguely remember that people could somehow convince me to start up in tray when closed in tray. Or...?? There was some discussion about this here: http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?t=1534admin wrote: But I vaguely remember that people could somehow convince me to start up in tray when closed in tray. Or...?? (too lazy to look it up...)
Here's a suggestion for everyone out there who wants XY to start with a normal window even when it was closed from the tray before: create a shortcut or command alias with the "/win=normal" command line option. That's how mine was (an alias in QuickRun: XY -> xyplorer.exe /win=normal), so I never noticed the behavior of it starting in the tray.
So now I have XY always running...
1) a startup menu shortcut makes sure it starts minimized to the tray when I logon,
2) XY won't close (instead going to the tray) unless I really, really want it to,
3) and if I start it by command I get a normal window.
Who could ask for more?
