No Progess Popup for Wipe?

I'm using wipe for the very first time -- on a disk with 7.4TB of files. Not sure I'll wait for the whole thing to finish, but how can I see the current overall progress (apart from looking at space in Drives view)? The status line message is nice but that's only per-file and it quickly obscures other messages while running. I don't need to have a progress popup stay up throughout, but it would be great to just double-click the status message to bring up the popup -- and temporarily turn off the updating status message -- until I want to dismiss.

Also - hitting ESC to stop the wipe is problematic because ESC is used to stop other things like searches, and a wipe would usually run for a long time. So the progress popup should also have a cancel button and I would rather that be the only way to cancel (even when popup is not up) so ESC is still available for other purposes.

Finally, there should be a warning if you exit XYplorer with the wipe still running. I just did that and didn't realize it until long afterwards.

Good points. But a major effort to implement the way you envisioned.

Actually, Wipe was not designed with "a wipe would usually run for a long time" in mind. I rather thought of nuking particular files than whole drives. For the latter purpose I'd recomment you start a separate instance of XY just for the Wipe job.

Nevertheless I will attempt some improvements:
a) You will get continuous progress updates in the status bar.
b) On ESC with the wipe still running you get a prompt.
c) On exit XYplorer with the wipe still running you get a prompt.

Yes, it's good to have the prompts. I am see one problem though: when I press ESC, the prompt comes up, I then press Ok to continue, but then the prompt comes up again for a few more times before I can finally dismiss it.
