Re: Catalog obfuscation
Just don't ::obfuscate;aurumdigitus wrote:Am definitely not keen on this one. Having gotten so use to the Catalog always being there, if this is to be a permanent change please give us an option someplace to stop it from happening.v16.80.0005 - 2016-05-24 20:10
+ SC obfuscate: Now also the Catalog is obfuscated.

Re: sc Obfuscate
Well, yes.Just don't ::obfuscate;
But then that defeats the whole purpose of why Don put it in there.

Re: sc Obfuscate
No, that perfectly fulfills the purpose of the command.

Re: sc Obfuscate
This is pretty cool!
I can see the use as well for some screenshots on projects where I want to show some files, but maybe just extensions etc.
Any plans on extended with regex list match? If I could use regex list match then I could possibly say obfuscate everything except the date in a name, and the file extension name.
That would be pretty cool!

Re: sc Obfuscate
No such plans at the moment, but this would be possible technically.

Re: sc Obfuscate
As a follower of this thread have made a CTB of obfuscate. Have not used it often but it is a nice tool to have in the box! Using U+263A White Smiling Face adds a whimsical touch.
Am looking forward to when the enhancements of v17.20.0032 become part of the next Official Release.

Re: sc Obfuscate
Any particular reason you're using official releases only?
I use the latest beta versions 99.9% of the time and had only two cases where I had to roll back to the previous version because something had gone wrong on Don's end. Keep in mind I'm talking of a time period of more than 10 years which equals to 3'000+ beta versions with two of them failing and without any loss of data (<0.066%).
Yet another track record that other developers can't even dream of.
