Empty folders are yellow text on white: UNREADABLE!
It's taken me some time just to figure out what the defining characteristic is, but it's apparently a filter on zero-byte folders (which may or may not be empty). Anyway, the Path column sometimes shows up as yellow text on a white background, which I'm pretty sure was made a war crime by The Hague....
WHERE is this controlled in the settings? Please tell me it can be changed, but I've been through all the color settings I can find, andnone of them even have yellow text, much less yellow-on-white. EDIT: Oops, I have a custom filter "Overlong Name (path length > 254 characters)", which has yellow text - but on a red background, and anyway is clearly not in play on these paths.

Did you take a look into Tools - List Management - Instant Color Filters as well?

Thanks; wasn't aware of that listing of Config settings, so your comment was useful just for that... But no, nothing there, nor under "Tools - List Management - Color Filters", either.highend wrote:Did you take a look into Tools - List Management - Instant Color Filters as well?
Nor "Visual Filters", nor "Global Visual Filters"... which are probably just refilterings of the other lists.

1. Does it happen with a fresh instance (and enabled color filters) as well (for the same folder)?
If not:
Show a full screenshot of your XYplorer window (with a folder where this happens)
Additionally, show the content of the two sections ColorFilter + ColorFilterInstant from your XYplorer.ini file

Re: Empty folders are yellow text on white: UNREADABLE!
I made a new, empty folder, and a non-empty folder beside it... and discovered I was wrong about "empty" being the defining characteristic for the filter. Maybe it's an age filter? I have an age filter with yellow text (forgot about that, too!), but it has a green background specified.
The INI file spaned more than one screen, so here's the text:

Re: Empty folders are yellow text on white: UNREADABLE!
AND... the age filter was the culprit. THANKS!
Apparently the TEXT color transfers to the Path, but not the background - so my yellow-on-dark-green became yellow-on-white for the Path property.
Problem solved.
