Selecting a Thumbnail in XY is different - why?

Post by pat55 »

Selecting a Thumbnail in XY is different - why?

On my PC I have to click very accurately on the thumbnail title below the 'picture.' Does anyone know why that selection method was selected and implemented in XY?

Any other program that I have ever known have you click on the thumbnail picture and some let you click anywhere on the picture or the title below it.

Is there a setting in XY to change this to make it conform to what the rest of the PC world have apparently agreed on?

I do not have problems selecting a thumbnail by clicking anywhere on it (the thumbnail including it's caption)...

So:
- Menu - View - Views
Which one is selected?

- Screenshot of a pane + the area where you actually click to select a thumbnail and the area where you can't
- What exactly happens when you click in such an area, nothing at all?

It does work NOW - clicking anywhere on the thumbnail - selecting using shift and ctrl.
Some time ago I had a problem with that and 'just decided' that XY did not like that.
The main exception is that it may take an extra click. In some cases it may scroll up or down which may be bad because your eye focus is lost.
I use the #3 set to the maximum of 675x675.

I may need to select 10 or more files using the ctrl and shift - only a few are next to each other.

Perhaps this is not a problem - great.
