cut copy paste, drag drop , how does it work?

Hello, please somebody help me

1 - i cannot paste something i cutted or copied, but if i look at the clipborad in "paste special" the software suddently recognise it and now i am able

2 - also, i cannot drag a folder to CUETOOLS , i need to drag a folder to be able to create a cue file, and when i try , its not working ( it it moving the folder god knows where)

3 - and while i'm at it, where is the "undo" option in the context menu ?

EDIT = i can cut if i do "ctrl+x" , now it goes in the clipboard, but i cannnot do it with the mouse

Sounds weird. Do you maybe use any clipboard manager in the background?

no but i may have paste a script from treacopy

i don't know how to do it so i only cutted the text script and pasted it directly on the copy button

is there a way i can reset all the xyplorer settings please?
i would like to try that , maybe it could help

You could delete your XYplorer.ini file (make a backup first).

Menu - Go - Go to Application Data Folder

Exit XY with
Menu - File - Exit without Saving
afterwards

it happened again

to reset the settings i deleted the ini file and was ok again at first,
but after 2 days approx sudenly i cannot cut paste again ( i think it does'nt save in the clipboard )

this time it happened when i opened another instance of xyplorer to be able to slide items in another folder more faster
( i think it started when i did this, not sure)

its true that i have teracopy installed but it is not set to be the primary software used for moving

what do i do?

i delete the ini file every 2 days?

XYplorer allows you to view and edit what's in the clipboard. Use this command:
Edit | Paste Special | Edit Clipboard...

thank you but : what i cut does'nt go into the clipboard **( if i don't look at the clipboard//with paste special)
and thus cannot render the action of pasting somewhere else,

but when i cut and go look in the clipboard , it appears, and now i am able to paste **(because i have looked at the clipboard with paste special)
( if i just cut and don't look it does'nt go in the clipboard)

the thing is, if i don't look at the clipboard i cannot paste because the option of pasting does not apear in the context menu



maybe its messing with TERACOPY ? ( file manager ) but i have not set teracopy to be the default program, but still maybe it is messing with it, because it looks that problem is starting if i use teracopy on windows explorer , not sure

is there a fix for stopping teracopy to mess with xyplorer ?

sorry about all this , i think it is the only problem i have with xyplorer

would you happen to know if there is a fix for stopping/prevent TERACOPY (file management program...cut copy move) to mess with xyplorer ?

I don't think Teracopy messes with XYplorer. Something is messing with the clipboard. No idea what thing that is.

I don't know if this is common knowledge, or it was posted elsewhere, but I hope this helps, even if it is commonly available elsewhere. I use Teracopy as well as your lovely custom copy, and do not want to have Teracopy as any kind of default. I'm using his Beta, which has been quite reliable for me. Here's what I do with Teracopy buttons; I can't remember where this came from, the tiny variation for move is my rather obvious guesswork - both work great, though sometimes it helps if you open Teracopy first - do that if it doesn't seem to want to cooperate randomly. Simply goes from focused pane to non-focus pane:
