"Go to" instead of "find as you type"?

is it possible to change the find as you type behavior to "go to"? I realize you can press F6 and activate address bar, but is 1 step too much

there is already the cool "Paste and Go": http://www.xyplorer.com/release_16.70.php#PG

But "Go as you type"...? I don't think this would work very well.

Thank you for taking your time. Sorry for not being accurate enough, is more like when typing into the pane instead of find the pane would act like the address bar, similar to DOpus (hope is not a prob mentioning it).
