XYplorer is listed as an incompatible program in Win 10

Post by philosurfer »

Hi. It might be that something else is wrong in my (recent) Windows 10 full install. XYPLORER was working fine for a couple of days, but now when I run it (either indirectly via drilldown in file explorer or directly), I never see a screen; it's just running as a background process as seen in task manager. Any ideas would be helpful.

Open a command prompt in XY's installation folder and enter:
xyplorer.exe /fresh

Hit enter.

Does it work afterwards?

This is not the way to run it in the future ofc! :) It's just to see if any of your config files causes it...

Highend - that method worked ... so does that mean that the program's fundamentally sound and there are windows-related issues?

Can you find out where the XYplorer data folder is, zip it and send it via E-Mail?
For normal installations (non portable) you can find it in:
C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\XYplorer

Before you zip it, remove the folder "Fresh" from that folder. E-Mail address is in my signature.

There is also a command to go to that folder:
Go | Go to Application Data Folder
