Recyle bin issue

Post by ro2124 »

Having a strange problem with the recycle bin.
When there are items to be deleted and I scroll down to Recycle Bin at bottom in left column, after right click the "Empty Recycle Bin" option is not highlighted and can not be used for deleting the bin contents.
Always have to open recycle bin in a Tab, highlight all the files to be deleted, then use delete

"option is not highlighted"?

You mean that the Recycle bin entry in the tree doesn't get selected and you don't get the context menu for it when you right click it?

Version number of XY?

Works fine for me in the current beta...

Does it work in a fresh instance?

Yes perhaps highlighted was the wrong word to use, and yes as you said it doesn't get selected and shows no context menu.
Version is the latest 16.80

Cannot see any problem here.

Can you provide a screenshot?

OK screenshot included- as can be seen the "Empty Recycle Bin" option is not available -all the other options with darker print , Properties etc. work when clicked.
The screenshot showing is normal of course if bin is empty, which is obvious if there is nothing in it, but its the same if there are files in Bin the empty recycle is not functioning. However forgot to mention the problem is intermittent, sometimes Empty Recycle Bin works, sometimes not..... very baffling.

Yeah, its a mystery :-)
anyway as I said only happens intermittently so when it does will just delete through tab access bin..minor hassle I guess
