Dbl-click on white goes back

Post by LittleBiG »

Something happened with my XY, probably a wrong setting (or a bug, which interfere somehow?)

When I double click on the white space on the list, it is not a "go up a folder", but a "go back". However, the setting is enabled in the configuration and the GoUpIsBack tweak is 0. Additionally, CTRL+SHIFT+DblClick opens the dual pane mode instead of scrolling to the beginning of the list.

Can anybody help with some idea? :veryconfused:

I know that it is ok there. It is ok on my other computer too. It is something with my ini file. I sent you a mail 2 days ago.

You have set this tweak:
CEA_TreeListDoubleClickOnWhite=3

Thank you very much! I simply don't remember this tweak at all. Probably when it came out I tried once and left it.

However, I am not sure why this tweak modifies the behaviour of CTRL+SHIFT+DblClick to an unexpected result :?:

It's because of this:

Code: Select all

v9.40.0102 - 2010-08-13 17:32
    + Now you can force opening a folder in the other pane (inactive
      pane) by holding Ctrl+Shift while triggering the open. This works
      in the following contexts:
      - All sorts of location menus: History (Back, Forward);
        Breadcrumb; Favorites; Drives; Recent Locations; Hotlist; etc.
      - List: Ctrl+Shift+DblClick an item
        If the item is a file the containing folder is opened and the
        file is selected.
      It does not work in Tree, Catalog, and Address Bar.
      Quite useful little trick when you work with Dual Pane. Especially
      nice when the active pane shows a recursive search results listing
      which you want to explore further on the other pane.
Well, I was surprised myself. :) It is mentioned in the help file, but really I don't like it anymore. Just too awkward. I will remove it!
