1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Moving files with xyplorer

Post by td2000 »

Hi,
For some reason I can no longer move files with simple drag and drop using xyplorer. It is most frustrating. I have gone down through all the posts and checked the help file, but I cannot come up with a simple solution. One minute it was working and after six hours of playing around I cannot find a solution.
I use Win 10 and latest XYplorer.
Thanks

You did restart your computer?

Apart from that, are you using XY's custom copy?
If that's the case, do you have / had a process running named "XYcopy.exe" after a copy operation was already done?
One of my scripts helped you out? Please donate via Paypal

Thanks for coming back to me. I did re-boot. Xcopy was not ticked. I decided to re-install the software and that worked a treat. I don't know what happened. I would prefer to have known, but the frustration and need to work called for drastic measures. Thanks for your assistance.

Maybe you had ticked this:
Configuration | Menus, Mouse, Safety | Safety Belts | Disallow left-dragging from tree and list
