Drag attachments from Outlook 2013

Post by kouhj »

PC Env: Windows 10 x64 + Outlook 2013 x64 + XY 16.60.0200 or 0303

This feature seems working only when Outlook 2013 window and XY window are side by side.

If they are overlapped, the copy operation cannot succeed:
1. A part of Outlook window is on top of XY window, drag attachment(s) from Outlook into XY will fail. The mouse cursor still has the plus sign after you release mouse button in XY.
2. Outlook is maximized, drag attachment(s) from Outlook to XY icon on taskbar to bring XY to the top, the mouse cursor still has the plus sign after you release mouse button in XY.

Please fix them.

1) Can other Outlook 2013 users confirm this?
2) Did it work in earlier versions of XY?

Tried it with 16.60.0303 in a W10 x64 VM with O2013 x64

Both scenarios work just fine, .msg files created successfully...

But OP is dragging attachments not the message itself.
I can't test with OL2013 64bit here but it works flawlessly with OL2013 32bit.

It doesn't matter if it's the message itself or an attachment, both are dragged & dropped flawlessly.

I am so sorry that I can't explain it as everything just worked fine from today, although I suffered from it for quite a while. Anyway I will keep watching...
Thanks!
