Move To / Copy To destination list

Post by qbic »

Sorry if someone already asked about this, but i searched the forum for ages for an answer without luck.
So, the question is:
How to edit destination folder list when using Move To / Copy to feature.
I have a few obsolete folders on the list that i would like to remove.

Hello all
Sometimes I use Copy to other pane, but I want to confirm before copying.
I know that adding "ConfirmFileOp=1" as a tweak allows to get confirmation dialog before copying anything.
But I find that annoying for some file operations.

A tip to copy to other pane is to add

Code: Select all

"Other Pane" <get path i>
-----> mru
at top of the Move/Copy/Backup To List, so in the sticky section of that list.
That works fine.
But everytime I want to copy to other pane, the cursor is on the first line after the sticky section.
What I would to have is the cursor on the first line of the sticky section, instead of the first mru line, in order to have just to enter OK to copy to other pane, without have to choose it in the list.

Is that possible ?

I understand the current behaviour because we can prefer copy to the last destination instead the other pane.
But currently I prefer the other pane.

Now, if I want to copy to the last target (first line of mru section), I'd love to have just to enter the Tab key to select it.
Don, would be it a too big desire ?

TIA for all your work.

So, is there anyone able to write a script to do that ?
ie open the copyto dialog, then put the cursor on the first line ?

Thanks

I found a way for you to make it work:

simply paste

Code: Select all

"Other Pane" <get path i>
into the edit box, then press copy button

on next open (Ctrl+F7) the first item is preselected.

I'm back at the "List Management" screen and click on the yellow pencil in the bottom left hand corner
for the"Edit Mode" F6 screen.
A the top it says "Edit the list." I have 5 lines of test items.
I can either add an additional folder or edit the name of an existing folder.

No matter what I do NOTHING CHANGES after I click the OK.
Any notion what may be wrong?

Don, thanks once more, but if I copy to another target different from the opposite pane, this one will take the place at top of the mru section, and the next time, that target will be selected, but not the other pane.

Perhaps I have not understooden what you have said to me.
