Images preview problem after previewing a txt file

Post by lilivier »

Hello,

I have a problem with the preview pane.

If I preview an image just after previewing a text file, the image preview is 'weird'.
See this screenshot:

Image

If I hide the preview pane (Ctrl+F11) and show it again (Ctrl+F11), the image is then shown correctly:

If after that I select other images everything works fine.
But if I select a txt file and then select an image file the problem occurs again and I have to hide/show the preview pane again to resolve the problem.

It only happens with image files (jpg or png). No problem with pdf files.

I'm also on Windows 10 x64 Pro. I cycled back and forth between numerous text files and jpgs and didn't see anything unusual. Is it happening with "any" text file and "any" jpg file? Maybe you could upload/post the files or send them to Don.

Even with a fresh instance of XY? Type:

Code: Select all

::fresh;
in the address bar, hit enter.

If a new instance of XY opens, try the same again. Does it still error out?

Actually it seems the bug appears when using display scaling in Windows 10.

My laptop screen is a 3200*1800 High DPI Display (Dell XPS 13), so I have to set display scaling to 200%.

I tested again by connecting an 1080p external monitor and making it the main display. No scaling is needed there (it is set at 100%) -> No problem with images preview.

So it seems XYplorer is behaving a bit strangly when display scaling is used in Windows.
