Delay in Response when Moving or Deleting Files

Hi,

XYplorer Free 15.80.0100 on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

Often, at random, there is a delay of about 8 or 9 seconds before a file move, copy or delete (initiated via drag/drop or right-click to show context menu) occurs. At other times, the operation occurs faster than the eye can see. For example, when I dragged a 5MB PDF file back and forth between two folders on the same HDD, the delay occurred on about 60% of moves.

There seems to be no pattern, except that if a slow operation is cancelled, an immediate repeat works instantly.

When the delay occurs, the modal is like this:

Any ideas what is causing this or how I might fix it?

I have never seen this. But then I never had Win7, and I always use XY's Custom Copy for copying. So, sorry, no idea here.

Does this also occur when using the windows explorer only? Might be a hardware/driver/system or virusscanner issue. If it's also ocur under windows explorer it's probably not related to XY.
