Question regarding your custom controls

Post by JustinF »

Don, I know you've written your own controls (treeview, listview, etc.). Did you inherit from the Windows controls and override the various methods, or did you start from a completely blank slate? Just curious....

Thanks, you settled an argument between me and a co-worker. I knew you were the super-duper programmer I claimed you were. :D

It's kinda funny, he likes to tease me 'cause I'm a VB.NET programmer (you know, VB is for dummies  ). He's a Java guy and of course that makes him infinitely smarter than me. Anyway, he just couldn't believe that you did all that work yourself...and in VB5 (now VB6)!!! VB can't do stuff like that.

 It's a never-ending story, that DonQuichottesque denial of VB's superiority by C/Java personal, hilarious!
