Beware: Type-ahead find vs. single character kb shortcuts

Post by Linkaday »

I have not the slightest notion how to call this observation more snappy and to the point.
(Moderators feel free to change it to something more appropriate).

Lately fumbled with some keyboard shortcuts i don't need regularly but timely. As soon as i found out, that i could use single keys in info panel as well, i thought it was a good idea to define key S for video preview snapshot. Easy to memorize, easy to do.

Today it was cleaning time for my downloads folder and i wanted to jump to files starting with S in the list. Nada.
All other keys worked. Key S faulty on my keyboard?
Memory served for enlightenment: clearing KS was the remedy. Too easy a KS.

You don't need to change KB shortcut.
For Type-Ahead-Find, instead of typing "s", you can type "Shift+s"
