Folder shortcut missing from Windows tree

Post by BrooksNYC »

Hi.

I've just upgraded from version 16.40.0000 to 16.50.0200, and an oft-used shortcut seems to have vanished from the Windows folder tree.

In previous versions of XYplorer, the fully collapsed tree in the left pane showed the following items:

  • Computer
    Desktop
    Documents
    (C:) OS
    (D:) DVD Drive

(The locked red "DOCS" tab above the right pane displays the subfolders of the Documents folder. It's my "default" view.)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

After upgrading to 16.50.0200, the right pane still displays subfolders of the Documents folder....

......but the Documents folder shortcut that used to sit near the top of the tree (a Windows Library folder, maybe?) has vamoosed:

  • Computer
    Desktop
    ? ? ?
    (C:) OS

As a result, XYplorer now jumps to the real Windows Documents folder by way of an expanded tree in the left pane, plus some scrolling. Is there a way to restore the missing shortcut folder to the top of the tree? I liked the convenience of it.

The view hasn't changed in Windows Explorer, and all Windows Library folders are intact.

Kind thanks for your help.

Brooks

Could it be your Hidden Folders Icon - or a combination of that and Hidden Items icon.
Been there done that. IMHO there is a bug there in that one will not trigger the other.

Appreciate your input, Pat. I tinkered with those settings, to no avail.

However! Downgrading to XYplorer 16.40 fixed the problem, so all is well. Thanks again!
