XYplorer rating (extra field) x system rating

Hi,

As illustrated in the screenshots (http://i.imgur.com/busaCo4.png), I am trying to find out relations and usages of XYplorer rating (extra field) x system rating. Actually:

a) Is there any way to show in XYplorer the ratings in photo files that were already made using system rating (Windows Explorer)?

b) If I use XYplorer rating (extra field), is there any way to convert/register these ratings as system rating, in order I can see what was rated in XYplorer through Windows Explorer as well?

1. Sure, add a column, use the "rating" property
2. Only by finding an external tool that is able to write that meta information back into the original file (by using the IPropertyStore interface). XY uses it's own tag database...
