When I search for a phrase "alpha beta gamma" using the Contents Tab of the Find Files panel, XTplorer does not seem to find a Word doc which definitely has "alpha beta gamma" inside of a table cell in the Word Doc. Is there someway I need to denote it's a phrase?
If I search for "beta", XYplorer finds it. (I used quotes here only for clarification. In the actual search it does not seem to matter).
thanks, John

Works flawlessly here...
Show a screenshot of the "Contents" tab for the "Find Files" tab and a screenshot of the page in the word document where the phrase does occur

Two screen snaps attached.
The first is just before the search, the second is after the search showing the Word doc.

Ok, thanks.
Am I right when I guess that your XY version is a rather old one (the Type: drop-down box is missing)?
Please get the current portable beta version and try if it works with that one:

You are correct, I had a old version, 12 or 11.
I tried both the portable beta version: 16.30.0004, and the full installed version 16.30.
The problem still occurs, it doesn't find the phrase if multiple words are in the phrase.
thanks,
John

Mh, don't know what's going on. You must have a correct installation of the necessary ifilter otherwise you wouldn't find the doc when you search for a single word...
If it isn't a problem, please make the .doc file available. Dropbox, any sharehoster, and send me the link via pn...

Re: Searching for multi-word phrase in Word Doc table
Ok, solved. It was a broken 32-bit docx ifilter that caused the issue (search was only working for doc but not docx files)...
