Can't copy with new version

I downloaded the latest version (16.2003) and found that I can't drag and copy files from the desktop or File Explorer to XYplorer. I reinstalled the last version I had downloaded (15.8002) and it still wouldn't let me copy files. So I copied all the files from the XYplorer folder on my laptop, which I hadn't upgraded to the latest version to my PC and I can now drag and copy files again. Is there a setting that I don't know about? Is there a single file that I could have copied from my laptop to my PC?

Any error message? Any status bar message? Mouse pointer shows "no drop"?
