NewItems
Before I met XYplorer, I had written a script-file to implement a similar "New.."-Functionality, but in addition I also (since most of my work happens in simple unicode-files) had implemented a feature where I scanned the file for the "#Filename#" token and replaced it with the filename that was given. Is there a way to tweak XY to achieve similar functionality or should I keep that? ;-)

Re: NewItems
You should keep using your existing script.
It would certainly be possible to achieve this same functionality in XYplorer, but to do so would require writing a script. Since you already have a script there's not much point in re-implementing that functionality with XYplorer's scripting.
