Checkmate, Chucksums

I read an article on CheckSums https://library.creativecow.net/wall_kylee/Checksum/1, and how if Checksums are wrong, masters of your files can be destroyed forever; which got me thinking, and the answer is most likely yes, atleast I hope. Can XYplorer do Checksum checks ?

Ever tried to do a search on this forum?
"checksum" or "hash" would be good terms to start with.

I didn't because I was wondering if there is anything in the article that is unique, rather unknown; otherwise I"ll do the search ?
