Hello
Since some previous versions XYPlorer is unable to see the network drives. Don't know why. Didn't change configuration since then.
Any explanation for this?

Re: Network drives inaccessible
Code: Select all
v16.00.0005 - 2015-11-19 13:21
* Network: I overreacted a bit in v16.00.0003. After all, the "new way"
worked for thousands of users for 3 years without any complaints until
recently. So here is a better solution:
- XY now acts like this: First try the "new way", but if it fails then
fall back to the "old way". That way you get both worlds, one after the
other.
- If you don't even want to try the "new way" use this tweak:
NetworkNetServerEnum=1
Code: Select all

Tried what you suggest but network drives continue invisible.

You can try an older version from the freezer to test your theory:

Re: Network drives inaccessible
Well I tried several previous versions back in time but no one shows the network drives.
Instead trying versions messed with my configuration file.

Re: Network drives inaccessible
After giving up with this problem I discovered, by chance, what was preventing the access to the network drives.
I had XYPLORER defined to run as administrator.
When I disable this the network drives were available again. Don't see the relation with running as administrator.

Re: Network drives inaccessible
That's normal (when the drives were connected without admin rights) and has nothing to do with XY.
Code: Select all
REM http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee844140%28v=ws.10%29.aspx
REG ADD "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System" /v "EnableLinkedConnections" /t REG_DWORD /d "0x00000001" /f

Re: Network drives inaccessible
Well, I did not know that (and I find it strange that running as admin leads to less access), so thanks for the info, jcmn!
