I am using Windows 10 and XYPlorer 16.00.
When trying to associate a file extension with an unregistered program I proceed as follows:
Right click on the file to be opened --> open with --> Choose another App --> More apps --> look for another app on your pc
At this point a file explorer window is supposed to open. It does not.
When I do the same thing using Windows 10's File Explorer, it works just fine.
Unregistered app file association problem.

We recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once.

Re: Unregistered app file association problem.
this is a bug with contextmenu64.exe.
Don knows better. Meanwhile, disable the direct 64-bit ctx menu (Tools > Configuration > Shell Integration > 64-bit Windows > Show the 64-bit context menu).
