Tab List button location

Is there any way to permanently fix the tab list button to either the left or right side?

The default behavior is kind of annoying:
- Tab bar full = left side
- Tab bar not full = right side

Personally, I'd rather it always be on the left side.

+1 I would also prefer it to be fixed to the left side.
