unmount missing in context menu

I use Reflection for backups, and it allows a virtual drive to be mounted from a backup image. I can see the drive in XYplorer but when I right click for the context menu there is no way to unmount the drive. If I go to Windows Explorer I get the unmount in that context menu. Is there some setting I need to turn on to get this operation in XYplorer?

No there isn't. If the application doesn't provide 64bit menu extensions you're out of luck (apart from a scripting solution if Macrium provides a tool for mounting, that can be controlled via command line parameters).

Ok, thanks for the explanation. It is not a major problem to un-mount from windows explorer. I use this infrequently anyway.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I just started using XYplorer and ran into this problem. I don't think it's actually something that Macrium is doing wrong. Not only does the Macrium Un-mount context menu item appear in Windows Explorer, it also appears in Directory Opus. So clearly Macrium provides whatever is necessary, it just seems like XYplorer isn't taking advantage of it.

It would be great if the developers could take a look at the situation.

I now have another, related, problem....

When you first mount the image, instead of taking the next available drive letter, XYplorer displays it as a second C: drive! You can't do anything with it, clicking on it doesn't open it, which is probably as it should be. The only way to display the content of the mounted image is to close XYplorer and restart it. In my case it then displays as G: with the special Macrium icon in place of the default drive icon.

Really?! XY gets the available drive letters list from Windows. So there must be a split second where Windows thinks it has two C drives. I'm afraid this will be hard to debug.

Same for me, every time i mount a crypted drive, i got 2 C: drive ???
F5(refresh) and then everything works fine.

I soon observed all kinds of weirdness and pecularities, starting from "wrongly" resolved System Special Folders and so on. Then I decided that mounting those system images into a running instance is a bad idea in the 1st place.

Yeah, that's a bit scary. Macrium has been very well behaved when mounting images, but then again that's the only way to access the backed up files. When I used to use Ghost it had a special browser app that didn't require mounting the image.
